It's not the best pic as it was taken on my phone but it gives you the idea of the mat.
I personally am not in love with his, there is something not right about it,
I do love the middle block but it's the inner border and the little strips ...

Hm. How about make the thinner border a plain white?? And then you can make the binding white as well. Just a thought... I always seem to have a hard time as well picking out fabric combinations.
a good idea, i've decided i'll keep this one and i'll think about a different idea for the next one :D
